'Sadako' tiny origami crane necklace

£10.00

Currency : £ $

The crane is one of the most famous origami forms and is widely recognised as a symbol of peace. The name Sadako comes from Sadako Sasaki, a victim of Hiroshima, who attempted to fold 1000 cranes in the belief that this would grant the maker one wish; for her this was for peace worldwide.

This delicate little charm is a stunning piece and a lovely way to remember a young girl's hope, courage and dreams.

Available in gold plate or rhodium plate (a precious, white gold colour metal which doesn't tarnish like silver does).  Nestled between the crane's wings is a facted rainbow-like Aurora Borealis bead.

The crane measures 23 mm x 12 mm  On 18" co-ordinating silver or gold plate chain.
